Rinse

Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

In short: Rinse doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Rinse makes no network requests of its own.

This policy covers the Rinse app for iPhone, iPad and Mac and its Safari extensions: Rinse for YouTube, Rinse Ads, Rinse Privacy and Rinse Page Cleaner. They're made by Nikolai Kushner ("we").

What we collect

Nothing. We don't collect, receive or keep any information about you, your device, or the sites and videos you visit. We have no servers that receive data from the app.

How the extensions work

What stays on your device

Your settings (such as background playback) and the list of sites where you've turned Rinse off are stored on your device, in storage shared only between the Rinse app and its extensions. They're never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

Network

The filter lists ship inside the app, and new lists arrive with app updates from the App Store. Rinse doesn't download anything or contact any server by itself. Websites you visit, including YouTube, keep working as they normally do, under their own privacy policies.

Third parties

Rinse has no third-party SDKs, analytics or advertising. Downloads and purchases go through Apple's App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy; we only see the aggregate, anonymous sales and usage reports Apple provides to all developers.

Children

Rinse collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. The policy and Rinse's source code are public on GitHub, so every change can be checked.
